Northwestern Community Ensemble

Northwestern Community Ensemble was founded in 1971 by Black students at Northwestern University and other area universities to help fill a spiritual void in the Evanston Black college experience. This commemorative book was designed to celebrate the group’s 50th anniversary and honor its dedication to bringing spiritual inspiration to the community. The bold, graphic motif and energetic typography reflect the essence of gospel music and its ability to engage and uplift its participants and audiences.
